Kant’s Apriorical Idea of Law: Two Ways of its Justification

Kant proposed an apriorical account of the idea law, according to which law’s only legitimate goal is guarantee for each citizen a possibly broad scope external freedom compatible with same all other citizens. However, did not make it entirely clear how this be justified. This paper presents two ways justification, drawing on Kant’s view human nature. The first one appeals components (rationality, freedom, equality, and dignity), second based its empirical (the ambivalent predispositions).
